Paver Patios in Sandwich, IL

An outdoor room that gets used from April through October.

Paver Patios in Sandwich, Illinois

A patio is the piece of the yard that changes how a family uses the whole property. Get the size and the traffic flow right and it becomes the room everyone ends up in.

We size patios around real furniture, not a sketch - a dining table with chairs pulled out needs roughly a 12 by 12 foot area, a seating group around a fire pit needs more. We look at where the door swings, where the grill goes, and how people move between the house, the patio and the lawn.

Construction is the same disciplined process we use on every hardscape: excavation, compacted aggregate base, screeded bedding layer, precise cuts along curves and borders, edge restraint and polymeric sand.

Why It Matters

Sized for how you live

We plan around your table, your grill and the number of people you actually host.

Freeze-thaw ready

Correct base depth and drainage keep the surface flat through Illinois winters.

Repairable

Pavers can be lifted and reset - a stain, a settled corner or a future hot tub is never a demolition job.

Common Questions

How big should my patio be?

For a dining set plan on 12 by 12 feet minimum; for a fire pit with seating, 16 to 18 feet across. We will lay it out with paint on site so you can see it before we dig.

Pavers or poured concrete?

Pavers flex with frost instead of cracking, and any section can be lifted and reset. Concrete is usually cheaper up front and harder to repair later.

When can you start?

Spring and fall fill up first. Calling in winter usually gets you the earliest install date of the season.
